Blogging Commitments for 2025

Whatever I think or believe may not carry much weight in the grand discourse unfolding in cyberspace or within the grassroots movements dedicated to addressing immediate, pressing concerns. The conversations happening around us — whether online or in person — are far-reaching and intense. So, what do I hope to achieve by writing this blog? In truth, it’s not about contributing something radically new or revolutionary to the conversation. It’s about documenting my own journey, my observations, and my reflections — as an educator, a writer, and as someone deeply committed to the ideals of equity, justice, and liberation for the marginalized and oppressed in all corners of our shared humanity. Relaunching Domain

It's nice to be back working on this blog. I've been away for the last few months due to left and right academic tasks that must be delivered and fulfilled in the university. My being away is also due to an issue with my domain account: I couldn't renew the previous domain. Most of the earlier posts from the old domain are still intact. Fast forward, I got another domain, which will be the last version and will last longer compared to the previous attempts in building a personal blog.

I will be setting this blog up as a bilingual blog. I will be writing both in English and Cebuano (Binisaya Sinugboanon). All general announcements and changes, including personal and professional updates, will be written in English. At the same time, Cebuano will be used to post stories and narratives of all sorts from my day-to-day personal and professional life. I will also make an English version available for people to access.

This blog will also become a portfolio for my writings and being an educator. Because I hope this will be my final blog, I will revive my other older blogs and merge all of those into here. I created a political blog to post my opinions and thoughts about various socio-political issues in the Philippines. I created a book blog where I write about the books that I have read.

What is most important now is to gain momentum in writing and updating my blog. This is quite a good time because 2024 is a pivotal and crucial year as a person, writer, and educator. I'm looking forward to sharing some of these changes (both positive and negative) shortly.

In the meantime, I am delighted to be able to write and update this blog with tangible plans now (compared to before). ***
